BACKGROUND



The First Jakarta International on Multidisciplinary Studies towards Creative Industries (JICOMS) 2022 is hosted by Center for Research and Community Service, Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif (Polimedia). Taking Collaboration of Cross-Disciplinary Research to Develop Creative Industries as its theme, the forum welcomes academia, professionals, researchers, practitioners, students, and civil society organization representatives to share ideas and current studies in the fields of sciences and social sciences. We have invited prominent speakers with expertise in the field of multidisciplinary studies.

Nadiem Anwar Makarim, B.A., M.B.A

Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia

Nadiem Anwar Makarim is the current minister of education, culture, research, and technology of the Republic of Indonesia. Nadiem attended high school in Jakarta and United World College of Southeast Asia (UWC SEA), Singapore, and then went to Brown University for a BA in International Relations.

DR. H. SANDIAGA UNO, B.B.A., M.B.A

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia

Sandiaga Salahuddin is an Indonesian businessman, investor and politician who is the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, and was the Deputy Governor of Jakarta.A graduate of George Washington University, Sandiaga worked for several companies and rose in rank before founding his own business, which led him to become one of the richest people in Indonesia.

PROF. DANIEL PUNDAY

Misisipi State University, USA

Daniel Punday began his service as Head of the Department of English at Mississippi State University in July, 2016. He has previously served as Head of the Department of English and Philosophy at Purdue University, Calumet. He has published on contemporary literature, digital narrative, and narrative theory. He has recently completed his term as the president of the International Society for the Study of Narrative.

PROF. YUH-WEN CHEN

Da-Yeh University, Taiwan

Prof. Yuh-Wen Chen is a professor from Department of Information Management in Da-Yeh University, Taiwan. Da-Yeh University (DYU) was founded in March 1990 according to the feature of educational establishment of German industrial universities. The educational philosophy of Da-Yeh University rests on the initiatives of equal emphasis on theory and practicality, humanity and technology Prof. Yuh-Wen Chen expertise in Multi-objective Optimization, Deep Learning and AI, and Supply Chain Management.

PROF. RUANNI TUPAS

University College London, UK

Ruanni is a lecturer from Department of Culture, Communication and the Media in University College London. He is applied sociolinguist working in the areas of language in education, Unequal Englishes, and language policy. His works have appeared in a wide range of international journals, including Language and Education, World Englishes, Bilingualism and Bilingual Education, Multilingual and Multicultural Development, The Asia- Pacific Education Research, Language Teaching, Intercultural Education and Multicultural Discourses. He currently serves as member of several international editorial boards, including the TESOL Quarterly and Language Teaching.

Mardiansyah Mardis, P.hD

ANC Japan Co, L.td

Mardiansyah Mardis is Executive Officer ANC Japan Co, L.td. Born in the city of Sengkang, South Sulawesi in 1989. After completing his high school education in South Sulawesi, he continued his undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral education in Chemical Engineering, Nagoya University, Japan. Pass the Japanese Language Proficiency test level N1. During his time as a student in Japan, he was active in several Indonesian student organizations, including the chairman of PPI Nagoya (2013-2014), and vice chairman of PPI Japan (2014-2015). In addition, he is active in the ASEAN Business forum (ASEAN NAGOYA CLUB), and PT. Kebun Teknologi Indonesia, and also works as a translator/interpreneur, Indonesian language teacher, and consultant in Japan.

CALL FOR PAPERS


Authors are requested to submit an abstract to the organizing committee by October 19, 2022. The abstract must contain the following section: introduction, aim of the study, method, results, conclusion, and keywords. The abstract must have no longer than 200 words. [IMPORTANT] To submit an abstract, authors must create an account. Then they can submit the abstract by logging in to their account. The submitted abstract will be selected for presentation. Full paper can be submitted only after the abstract is accepted. Letter of Acceptance (LoA) can be downloaded directly from your account. Full paper should be written in English. Accepted papers will be published in Proceedings: European Alliance for Innovation (EAI)-CCER. Please follow paper template provided on the website.

SYMPOSIUM


Two symposium, JICOMS on Applied Sciences and JICOMS on Applied Social Sciences & Learning Technology with suitable sub themes will be presented this year.
